Following his visit to New York, Lorca also travelled to Cuba where some of the poems included were written. Published in Mexico, due to the dictatorship of Franco, whose regime was responsible for the kidnapping and murder of Lorca in 1936. With four original drawings; 2 in black and white and 2 in color. Bound in original paperback wrappers, slightly oversized to fold over the edges. Minor toning, creasing at edges and folds, a few shallow tears, and light chipping at the spine tail. With an additional poem by Antonio Machado and a Prologue by Jose Bergamin. An owners stamp on ffep and title page, as well as signature of other owner to same in ink.
