Description: Faria Beede Euro Black 4" Mechanical Speedometer - 55MPH (32810) The Faria Beede Euro Black 4" Mechanical Speedometer is a reliable and accurate instrument for measuring speed on boats and other watercraft. With its perimeter-lighted black dial bold white graphics black aluminum bezel contoured white pointer and flat glass lens this speedometer is both stylish and functional. Unlike electronic speedometers which operate by capturing pulses produced by a sensor this pitot tube type speedometer operates by pressure from the water being forced into the pitot tube. This pressure is then transmitted through flexible tubing to the bourdon tube movement inside the speedometer head where it is converted into a speed reading by the movement mechanism. Please note that the pitot tube is sold separately. The Faria Beede Euro Black 4" Mechanical Speedometer has a hole size of 3.375" (85mm) and is available in both standard and metric values.
