The inside (mattress area) dimensions are 54 ¼” in width (across the rails), and 73 ¾” in length and should accommodate a standard full-size mattress but you should always measure your mattress to ensure proper fit. The headboard alone measures 85 ½” in height, 58 ¼” in width, and 10 ½” in depth while the footboard alone measures 29 ¾” in height, 58” in width, and 3 ¾” in depth. The top crown is removable from the headboard and the headboard can be broken down further into two pieces if desired. The connecting rails measure 77” in length, 7 ¼” in height, and 2” in width. The rails will take 5 bed slats which should be cut 3” in width. This beautiful Walnut Victorian Bed has a wonderful carvings and burl accents. The details on this piece are quite elegant!
