Description: Famous Admiral Robinson Love Letters, World War I era 192–1928 timeframe. Robinson was married for 50 years to his wife Allie. He served on many ships and later became the famous captain that photographed at bikini island where he was in charge of the target ships they were trying to destroy with nuclear bombs. He later became an admiral. He had an amazing career and life and stayed with his love Allie for over 50 years. They lived in the same family home in Alexandria VA. Please see listings for his personal photos and for the famous newspaper photo also for sale There is approx 60 letters mainly between the two or them and I transcribed most of the content of the letters since they are in thick cursive hand writing honestly hard to read. There may be some that are between other family members see photos and you can see who they are addressed too. Robinson retired as a two star Admiral He also served on USS Holland AS-3 not sure what year
