Description: Lovely Faience style apothecary jar, 4.5 inches tall, without lid. Beautiful condition otherwise, with hand painted "Saint Clement" on bottom and hand painted decoration. The jar says " Theriaca" a medicine most commonly used for poisonous bites. I cannot tell exactly when made, the St. Clement studio operated from the 1700's to the 1970's. The good condition would say it is not an antique but the style is an old one. Very nice to replace a damaged jar with intact lid, or for use as a small vase.
