Description: Here are a wonderful pair of WWII French "sabots" or wooden shoes that are hand painted and say, "France 1945" on the sides. There are stars and flowers and hearts painted on them. Many people do not realize but wooden shoes were worn in France in this time, especially in colder regions such as Bretagne (Brittany.) The shoes have some wear but are darling. They appear to be a very small size, maybe like a child. Each shoe measures 8 inches long. A nice souvenir commemorating the end of the war! Non-smoking home. No international sales.
