Description: Super rare Extra Long Length light tan vintage watch band with 19mm ends. Difficult to find these rare Genuine Horse Leather bands called Shell Cordovan in wider sizes and longer lengths like this, much less in an Extra Long. This band is a full inch longer than a standard length strap. Here's a rare chance to get an Extra Long vintage Shell Cordovan early American watch band that is New Old Stock unused from the 1930s. Extra Long Length band measures 8 1/2 inches (21.7cm) placed end to end, not including the buckle. Metric measurements of the two pieces are 127/90mm. Shell Cordovan is the term used for a very special leather made from a horse's rump. A horse provides two "shells," or circular sheets of leather. This rare material, also used for shoes and belts, is famous for its pliability and durability, as well as for the wonderful patina it develops over time. Although considerably more costly than other leathers, Shell Cordovan is an excellent investment. The smooth, high-grade finish and unique stitching of a Shell Cordovan band gives your vintage watch a special look. Flat unpadded strap that won't detract from a fine watch.
