Also you can see some of the beautiful and soulful artwork of talented local artists from Himalayas. ~~Guru Rinpoche on Bodhi Leaf~~ What Does The Bodhi Tree Symbolize In Buddhism?The Bodhi Tree is the enormous, sacred fig tree in Bodh Gaya under which the Buddha, Siddhartha Gautama, is said to have attained enlightenment. It often symbolizes wisdom, compassion and awareness in the Buddhist faith.He was a tantric Buddhist master born in India and he played a fundamental role in bringing Vajrayana Buddhism to Tibet in the eighth century. Guru Rinpoche is also the founder of the Nyingma school, the oldest of the four major traditions of Tibetan Buddhism. Guru Rinpoche is depicted in his more traditional representation seated in royal posture holding a vajra in his right hand while his left-hand holds a skull-cup containing a vase filled with the nectar of longevity and wisdom.
