Tested recording and playing back a whole tape. Could not tell the difference between the 2. VU meters took a strong signal and played it back with same quality. This deck has auto reverse so with small piece of foil on the back end of a tape it will automatically reverse and play to the end in the other direction, this gives you hours of music. No static in the pots and switches. No hiss. 2 speeds, 3.75” ips and 7.5” ips so you can choose between sonic qualities and length. Tape counter works. Smooth stop when levers release and end of tape and reel brakes engage quickly. The dust cover looks to have been home made because it is darker than the other ones I have seen but it is in good condition with minor scuffs that are only seen up close. Wood cabinet is in good condition with only minor scrapes on a few edges. Includes rubber reel hold on caps, power cord and reprint of service manual. Reels in pictures not included.
