Description: Up for sale, from a recent Kansas Estate is this Beautiful, large, custom hand crafted, vintage American Bald Eagle Wall Mount / Hanging. This one-of-a-kind Piece is cut from medium density fiberboard, & decorated with hundreds of old pennies & dimes from the 1960's & 1970's. I think I saw a couple of later 1950's pennies. This stunning bird measures about 29" from wingtip to wingtip~! His beak is painted a gold color on the MDF (showing some wear). There is hardware in back for hanging. I was told, by the lady handling the sale, that the gentleman who made this was in the military so I presume that he was in the army here in Leavenworth, KS at Fort Leavenworth~! I would guess that the gentleman made this somewhere back in the 1970's~? All the coins are aged, showing patina & all are intact - no missing coins~! A couple of the coins came off while transporting the Eagle home & I glued them back on. I'll wrap the Eagle initially in saran wrap to hold the coins in place on the board for expedited shipping.
