The TL-6 offers high-quality woods and components, including a mahogany body with spruce top, a 3 pc. mahogany neck, and a rosewood fingerboard with 22 jumbo frets, as well as Grover tuners, Graphtech NuBone-XB nut and saddle, and a Fishman S-Core pickup and TL-3 preamp w/ onboard tuner. What Do We Think Here at Guitars To Be Played, we have been very impressed with the TL-6 thinline acoustic. Yes, it’s a great guitar to play casually on the couch or to sit down with for a writing session. But where it really shines is plugged in. The Fishman pickup and preamp deliver surprisingly big tones through a PA, nice and full on the bottom but sweet and clear on the top. The preamp has just the right amount of EQ control onboard and the thinline body naturally cuts down on stage feedback. But most importantly, the TL-6 is exceedingly easy to play without compromising on amplified tone when compared to a full-size acoustic guitar. How Does It Play The TL-6 has a very comfortable thin U (but not too thin) neck profile. While we’re willing to do whatever work necessary to get a guitar playing exactly as it should, we have found these take very little effort to setup. The fretwork has been superb. We check everything from truss rod to nut slots to saddle height, and you can rest assured we have this one dialed in.
