Bound in the pubisher's hessian covers, printed to the front cover, with seal to the middle of the front cover, frayed and tatty to the edges. Leather strap closures, one cropped short. All pages present, though loose from the binding, soiled and chipped to the edges. Text in German. Fair only. Sold as seen. This book is the second of Seyppel's highly original mummy prints, in which he faked a ground or pyramid find, withe deliberately damaged margins of covers and leaves: imitation with "künstliche Alterungsspuren" of an original papyrus, called "Mumiendruck". 42pp. Title in red and black and each page with illustrations. ---------------------------------------------One of a number of similar items I am selling.
