Description: Epica Leather Journal Fine Wine Log, Handmade in Italy, #3 There are two information sections: General, followed by Specific. General: I discovered Epica journals nearly 20 years ago, and have been using them ever since, because they are genuinely exceptional. The journals I am selling are genuine Epica, new old stock. More than 15 years ago, I acquired them from someone closing out their stationary shop. All are in perfect condition, having been carefully stored in a clean, smoke-free, climate controlled environment. The supply is very limited, yet I am offering each at a discount compared to the prices on the Epica site. Given the handmade nature and natural characteristics of the materials, each book has unique qualities, therefore, each listing is unique and the buyer will receive the specific item featured in the photographs. View my other listings to find the one you like best. Note: Some books have become obsolete, i.e., Epica no longer commissions them to be made, nor offers them for sale on their site. Note: Typically, the books from this generation were shipped, from Epica, in an Epica branded cardboard box, and with a flannel, drawstring dust bag. BUT… of the lot I purchased, there were a few that did not include the bag and/or box. See the “specific” section for information on what is included in this purchase, please. Note: The Epica branded box is a nice touch, but nothing special; it’s just a box with “Epica” on it. And, though the flannel bag is also a nice touch, personally the only time I have used mine is when I put the journal in it after having filled all the pages, and wasn’t using it any more. Specific: This is a “Fine Wine Log”, 7” x 10” bound in hand-distressed leather, with 180, 24lb classic laid, acid-free, and archival quality pages. Each 2-page section is arranged with headings for recording notes on, and affixing the label from one bottle of wine. However, since I don’t have an interest in keeping a wine tasting log, I would ignore the titles and headings, and just write in the sections using the book as a regular journal (especially if I were bargain hunting and compared prices to similarly sized, plain journals, of the same materials composition, on Epica’s website). For this listing, the buyer will receive the journal, a flannel dust bag, and an original box, in which the items will be shipped. The fine wine log is not obsolete. Be advised: a few of the journals I listed DO NOT include a flannel bag and/or original box. I will clearly indicate that in the “Specific” section. It is up to you to make sure you select the item you want. NOTE: all the stock I have will be listed (about 17 journals). Once sold, the obsolete stuff will be gone forever, so get it now, if you want it!
