Description: For sale is an EPIC & RARE! Large size Antique 1896-1907 45 Star American flag. It is made with Wool and Linen type of material and with individually sewn stars and strips. The 45-Star flag was adapted with the admission of Utah as the 45th state in 1896. It was used until 1907 when Oklahoma became a state. The flag measures approximately 11’x8’. An epic size that is rare to find. With such a long history behind, the flag is not without its battle wounds. There are quite a few holes, some corner repair patches and tears scattered here and there. The lowest white strip has red color bled through. See all photos (and zoom in) for detailed condition. Fortunately, the fabric of the flag is still in good integrity. It could be hung upright (see photo #1) and can be a great conversational piece and an appealing store front full wall display.
