Center drilled and easy to machine, this collet is ready for easy customization. Using normal fractional-letter-number drill bit set, drill out the center one-size larger than the target shank diameter. Diameter of the drilled hole should be ~0.001" to 0.004" larger than the tap shank. Counterpoise set screws grip the tap's square-shank allowing for a strong hold on a variety of tap sizes. Works with 265-110 type hand tapper units (not included). Included: One (1) Mathews Engineering Stainless Steel HTC-EMER ColletTwo (3) M6x1 Set Screws One (1) 3mm Allen wrenchInstructions: 1) Drill the tool center-line to one size larger than the needed shank. 2) De-burr then hole-ends.3) Clear the hole with compressed air.4) Insert one set screw.5) Viewing through the open set screw hole, insert the tap until the flats of the shank can be seen, gently tighten the existing set screw. 6) Insert the second set screw and tighten.
