The number 38089 is above the makers mark.Throughout its history, Elkington & Co. achieved remarkable success, with the company known for being a leading producer of silver plate. In 1840 they patented the electroplating process, which enabled a layer of silver to be placed on a base metal to create more affordable pieces to reach a far wider audience. Condition is good considering age and use - there are a few dents and scratches to both the jug and sugar bowl.Dimensions are approximately: Sugar bowl - 5 1/2'' / 14cm from handle to handle; 2 1/2'' / 6cm across the width of the top; 4'' / 10cm height.Jug - 4 3/4'' / 12cm from spout to handle; 1 3/4'' / 4.5cm across the width of the top; 4'' / 10cm height.We are experienced at wrapping and safely shipping china, glassware and breakables and have an excellent track record for safe arrivals.
