Description: Custom Hamer body Licensed Floyd Rose floating bridge Floyd Rose R2 locking nut Shadow Kill 500k volume pot Telecaster style 3-way switch Musiclily Fender-style tuners Strap included I’m a professional musical instrument builder & classical instrument repair specialist. This is the first guitar I’m selling that I built for myself, so it has a solid custom shop playability, and it’s built to knock around - like a drag-racing ‘sleeper’ made for studio recording and for performing live. It’s a tough mofo. It’s a guitar tech’s guitar. Here’s what you get: 1) Shadow Kill volume pot wired straight through, without a tone capacitor. It does one job - volume and kill switch. It does TWO jobs… 2) Bridge Pickup: 2004 Fender Squier Bullet bridge humbucker. While it lacks detail in the highs on clean settings, put it through a Boss Metal Zone or a RAT and this thing will astound you. The best way I can describe it is that it sounds like Seymour Duncan and Bill Lawrence broke into Leo Fender’s shop in the middle of the night to make it. It was the selling point of the 2004 Squier Bullet for good reason - fantastic output with very pleasing articulation & response under distortion. I bought an extra one for myself. 3) Neck Pickup: I got lucky a while back and ordered a middle-position Strat single-coil from China, and whoever made it must have worked on Seymour Duncans because there’s a lot of copper on it, and it sounds like a Seymour Duncan hot-stack. This one will give you the clean tone articulation you’ll desire, and being reverse-wound for middle position makes sense next to a humbucker if you think about it. 4) Squier Modders 3-Way Switch: great boutique brand out of NYC. Between the Fender humbucker and the mad Chinese scientist neck pickup, this switch makes this Slammer-bodied Frankenstrat a Telecaster at heart. More like a ‘Telemonster.’ 5) Custom painted, floating Licensed Floyd Rose bridge, with custom luthiered (sandpaper-scored) non-slip string insert blocks. In my opinion, these licenced bridges are superior to the FR Special series after a few finishing touches like sanding the inserts and a dab of bike grease on the tuning screws. 6) Bridge Support: If you look at the final image, those are a couple of handmade steel supports in process that I designed for securing the bridge posts for floating Floyd Rose mods. The steel support on this guitar is painted white lacquer to match the bridge. Pull & dive-bomb all you want - combined with the installed and included Fender Tremsetter you’ll stay in tune no problem, and your guitar will stay in one piece. 7) Neck: Fender knockoff from China, with a real Floyd Rose R2 string lock on it. Don’t worry, the cheap string lock went straight in the trash. The neck is straight with smooth action, and the star inlays are choice. Those aren’t stickers - those are real inlays. 8) Tuners: New Musiclily Pro 6 Inline 2-pin tuners. They look & feel exactly like Fender tuners. 9) Hamer Body: The body is from a used, beat-up Hamer Slammer. It’s made of plywood, so it’s dense but not too heavy, and it has some chunks of paint knocked off but no structural issues. It’s good and solid. The pickguard is a Fender-style custom 1-ply white HS which fits the Hamer …mostly. Good enough for government work… Fresh set of D’ Addario Extra Lights. The strap & rubber strap locks are all yours. You’re going to love this guitar. Item is sold as-is, no refunds. Guitar stand not included. Thank you and happy bidding ☕️
