It has a standard JB specification with an alder body, but is equipped with an original Type-J pickup. The VOL/Tone control range is wide, and if you turn it down, you can get a sound with the delicate nuances of the original jazz bass. The neck is handcrafted over nearly four times the time of a typical neck, and is characterized by its comfortable grip that fits deeply in the hand. The truss rod works well, and there is plenty of room to adjust both the forward and reverse curvature directions. The neck curvature has been adjusted with the rod, and looks straight.
