Description: Here are 8 old, black & white photos take in February and April of 1951 at Fort Hood, Texas. Several have the last names of the soldiers in the photo written on the back of them. First is two identical photos of a soldier in uniform with a helmet with a big smile. He's sitting on the ground leaning against the outside wall of a building. The photos are identical but one is marked April 51 and the other Feb. 51. Next is a photo of a large building, with a smaller one next to it. There is a sign that reads LEADERS SCHOOL 2nd ARMD. DIV. that is dated April 51, along with that photo is another one of the same buildings and sign, but with 3 men in the photo, two men in uniform and one in street clothes with a checkered shirt. On the back of this one they are identified as KEIM, LEISGANG and GASDASKA, April 51. There are two smaller photos, one has 3 men squatting down in uniform, with a white building in back of them. On the back of this one is written: They guy in the middle is from Erie, Pa and the other from Boyertown. Boyertown is also in PA. This photo is dated Feb. 8 - 51. I think the man with the helmet on in this photo is the one who originally owned the photos or had them sent home. The other small photo features two of the men in the other photo, just not the one in the middle, it's marked Feb 5 - 51. Next is a photo of a man sitting on the steps of a barracks, on the back he is identified as BUCKLEY on the back and the photo was taken April, 51. The last photo has 4 men in uniform, with the barracks behind them. On the back they are identified as LYONS, SOUDER, KEIM & LILLER and dated April, 51. They are all marked Fort Hood, Texas. I think the original owner or soldier was from Reading, Pennsylvania, because other photos that came with these were developed in Reading, PA, but that is only a guess. The photos are nice but do have some bent corners. One of them has tears in the side and creases at the bottom corner, this one is a double of another one of the soldier in uniform and helmet sitting with his back to an outside wall. Great old photos, make a nice research project. Postage will be 4.40 to the U. S. IF OUTSIDE THE U. S., PLEASE USE THE POSTAL CALCULATOR TO DETERMINE THE COST OF POSTAGE. If you like old photographs and ephemera, please check out my EBay store and the other old photos I have listed. Many different subjects, time periods and places! I mail all my old photos in padded envelopes with cardboard to keep them from being bent. Thank you!
