Description: When I saw this humongous honey at the 2024 Las Vegas pipe show, I thought for sure it was a Comoy's 805 Extraordinaire smooth bent Billiard, and it was, except for one thing....it wore an Ehrlich stamp! Huh? I was confused until the seller explained that the pipe actually was made for Ehrlich by Comoy's. In fact, the right side of the shank was stamped with "805", which is the shape number of the Comoy's 805 Extraordinaire. Wow! I later learned that Comoy's did, in fact, make pipes for Ehrlich, back in the 1960's. Further research led me to an actual Comoy's 805 Extraordinaire Magnum for sale on ebay. Bingo....there it was, same exact shape, right down to the swan neck stem. And the dimensions were the same on both pipes. The best part is that this big guy is in mint condition! In fact, it appears to have been smoked very little. It still looks almost new. Finding an 805 from the golden era of pipes is a rare find. Finding one in mint condition is extraordinary!
