A memento of a vacation in Cairo...... a silver hinged lid snuff or pill box from Egypt. The lid has a detailed repose image of a Scarab while the back depicts a message in hieroglyphics. It measures 2 3/8ths inches across, 2 1/2 inches wide and 1/2 inch deep. It has survived prior use free of bends, distortions or dents. It weighs approximately 54 Gr. There is a very small hallmark that I cannot decipher below the snap closer. Note.....Egyptian silver has a purity of 800 and higher. MUCH OBLIGED
