Description: This is a stunning piece of MCM Swedish artistry. Hand crafted in the 1960’s, it looks as though a perfect egg yolk has been dropped into a clear bowl full of thick water. You can almost imagine the sides of the dish surging up when the yolk hits. At almost 1.5 pounds, it measures 5” x 5” x 2.75”. It’s almost impossible not to pick it up and run your hands over it. It is signed on the back, but pushing and pulling over the years, while proof that it was cherished for quite some time, make it very hard to read the etched script on the back. It says Coquille and Flygsfors. I’ve tried to take a photo at an angle that will allow you to see it, but I’m not sure how successful I was. The dish is in good condition for its age—I found it’s extraordinarily hard to photograph clear glass without reflecting all sorts of lights. Please look at the photos and ask any questions you may have.
