This is a wood fired evaporator designed for efficiently boiling down sap into syrup in a rapid and cost-effective manner. These evaporators are very efficient and can boil off 25- 50 gallons of sap per day depending on the wood used. Each evaporator is good for 50 - 60 taps. You can line the bottom of the barrel with firebricks, rocks, or gravel to further increase efficiency. Please note the food grade paint on the barrel will burn off during extended usage.
