Description: Edwardian Sleepdress, Martha Pullen Antique Series Sewing Pattern This gown features a lovely insert in the front yolk, two sleeve lengths, a gathered section below the front yolk and a gathered section of the back neck. The necklines are entredeux and either gathered lace or gathered Swiss edging trimming. The pink and ecru gown has a lace insertion-entredeux-tucked yoked trim. (Entredeux means “between two” in French. It is a narrow strip of batiste with tiny square holes down the center of the strip.) The blue gingham has a tucked insert. The pale blue gown has a plain (no tucks) insert which features shadow work and Swiss trim sewn on top. The bottom of the gowns have either lace edging or Swiss edgibns. There are two sleeve choices; 1. Short sleeves with entredeux and edging trim 2. Long sleeves with a tucked lace insertion insert or 3.. Long sleeves with a fabric insert which can be made as fancy or as plain as you wish to make it. The front opening features a placket with three buttons.
