Description: On offer, we have a restrike etching by American western artist Edward Borein. Borein (1872-1945) was an award winning artist famous for his depictions of Spanish Colonial California, The old west, and Mexico. He was a much loved resident of Santa Barbara, Ca.. Unable to find this print online, I've named it myself. This cowhand is riding hard chasing a runaway steer. This measures approximately 10 1/8" X 12 3/4" with the image 5" X 9". The etching is in dark brown/black ink on a tan toned background etched on off-white thick artist's paper. My understanding is that a restrike is from the original plate, but not from the first printings. This print in pristine condition. The etching is bold, clear and clean. It has been handled and has a few light wrinkles. As I am not an expert on art, please view my photographs for more description. My elegant friend is moving to a much smaller home and parting with some of her treasures. You may enjoy viewing her other Edward Borein prints I have on separate listings at this time. I will be happy to answer any questions and, of course, combine your shipping.
