Description: Schein, Edgar H. Coercive Persuasion: A Socio-psychological Analysis of the "Brainwashing" of American Civilian Prisoners by the Chinese Communists. New York: W.W. Norton, 1971. Offered for sale is a copy of E.H. Schein's classic study, long out of print--Coercive Persuasion, in a handsome paperback edition from Norton. This copy is in very good condition--notwithstanding some unhappy folding affecting the rear cover. A bit of errant glue (a defect of manufacture) will be found on the top edge, and the covers (owing to aging of the publisher's laminate) are bowing slightly. The spine is uncreased. But for the remnants of a penciled price on the half-title page, the book is free of underscores, annotations, &c. This copy seems never to have been read. The book will be posted, for FREE by USPS Priority Mail: a signature may be required on receipt. Buyers abroad will be served by eBay's International Shipping program.
