Description: This is an ORIGINAL UNISSUED VIETNAM ERA COMBAT VEHICLE CREWMAN (CVC) HOOD SIZE 6 3/4 DATED 63. The hood was worn by combat vehicle personnel to help keep their heads warm. The hood could also be worn under the helmet. The outside of the hood is made of an OD color 100% cotton material. On each side their is Velcro for securing the hood closed around your neck. Their is also an extended piece at the bottom which fits inside a coat, jacket, etc.. The inside hood lining is made of 100% nylon material and the inside crown is made of 100% wool material for additional warmth. Inside there are 2 sewn in labels. One label reads CAP, CVC, INSULATING, SPECIAL PURPOSE, DSA-1-1596-63-C, 8415-473-6021, OUTERSHELL 100% COTTON, HOOD LINING 100% NYLON, CROWN LINING 100% WOOL, 6 3/4 FOR THE SIZE. The other label reads CAP, CVC, INSULATING, SPECIAL PURPOSE with wearing and cleaning instructions. The Original Unissued Vietnam Era Combat Vehicle Crewmen (CVC) Hood Size 6 3/4 Dated 63 is in mint condition.
