Description: Up for sale an early pair of English silverplate lobed candlesticks by Elkington. The pair of sticks measure 12.25" H and the diameter of the base is 5.75" and is covered with green felt. The sticks both have the date mark "K" for 1849 which means these sticks are an early example of English silverplate. They also each have an armorial of a dragon or mythical beast. Very good antique condition with normal signs of age, wear and use. The candlesticks are missing their bobeches. A good silversmith could add new bobeches.
