Description: Early 20th Century Antique Gentlemen’s Toiletry Travel Case Rare Find! An antique early 20thcentury Gentlemen’s toiletry travel case with what appears to be made of leather, wood and brass. Unique in its design the case includes removable brass & wood lower sides, removable stand up mirror or wall hang with retractable hook and fold away stand. The case also contains the Vintage Shick Eversharp Razor along with what appears to be a brass and wood storage box for blades. No blades or shick razor injector is included. The case has two tiers the top tier containing the Shick Eversharp razor along with the brass and wood blade storage box and a Brass and glass soap dish. Removing the top tier exposes the bottom containing a Glass and brass toothbrush container with two vintage brushes, a glass and brass cologne bottle which still has the small glass stopper or possible applicator beneath the brass screw cap and a glass and brass lather brush container including the lather brush. The top of the case has a rather unique small brass carry handle that is retractable into the top of the case. The case automatically locks when closed and requires a key to reopen which is included. This is a vintage item and does show its age and use with various degrees of wear and tear which would be expected of and is appropriate I would think for an item of this age and use. The leather or leatherette coating has considerable delamination which can be seen in the pictures. The brass sides do have some marks scratches and a few small dents. The brass sides do not appear to be original to the case and may have been altered or replaced at some point. The age of the mirror has caused areas of fading and silvering loss as can be seen in the pictures. The case measures approximately 8 ¼” L X 4” W X “ X 5” H.Because condition is subjective please use the pictures and video if included to make your own determination as to condition as they are part of the description.
