Description: Early 20th century 8-drawer storage cabinet; from the label it seems to have been made by a stationary supplier for home and office organization. The construction is an interesting mix of materials– the body is pressed board or thick cardstock covered by a dark red paper with a leatherette texture. There are nice heavy solid oak hinged panels, one on each side, with metal escutcheons that would lock the drawers in place (keys are not included). Most of the damaged areas are on the edges of the pressed board panels (particularly along front edges of the top and bottom pieces), a hole in the top panel and a patch of missing paper on the left side. The paper covered panels show general wear and tear and stains; the backing board is loose. The attractive metal drawer pulls are in very good condition. The drawers are in good condition and measure 13-3/4″ long by 8-3/4″ wide and 2″ deep– large enough to hold legal or letter-size paper with room to spare. The drawers have partially cutaway sides to allow easy removal of stored items. Overall cabinet dimensions are 10″ high by 18-1/2″ wide and 21″ deep from front to back. Because the cabinet is so large, UPS is likely to be the least expensive shipping method but I'm more than willing to check the best options for your location.
