BEAUTIFUL PICKUP AT 17020The American Fancy chair is derived from Sheraton designs and belongs in the Federalist style of furniture.. It was an aesthetic movement that swept the country between 1810 and 1855 when the United States was young.. Known for its sparkling paint decorated fanciful play on light bright colors with wild patterns.. The word fancy in Fancy American refers to "Fantasy" as in dream state, something formed in the mind, or flight of imagination.. This light weight portable chair was produced for our nations new urban middle class.. Most were inexpensively made and sold at affordable prices and were not targeted towards the sophisticated urban elite.. The naivety of decorations was intentional and not due to lack training, many were highly skilled artisans in their craft..
