Early 1952 Gibson Les Paul Kluson Deluxe ENCLOSED Tuners SINGLE LINE SINGLE RING

Description: This is an exceedingly rare set of 6 all original early 1952 Gibson Les Paul gold top Kluson Deluxe tuners. This version is seen in the very earliest 1952 Les Pauls. The most notable feature that separates these tuners is that the worm shaft does not go through the side of the gear cover. These are found with either the large or small lubrication hole. Also notice the single raised ring at the base of the tuner button. Another defining item unique to this model is the presence of the 'PAT. APPLD.' lettering on the bottom face of the gear cover. The under side of the base plate shows the lettering that is common to all Kluson tuners made prior to the award of Kluson's patent. This lettering gives us the 'Pat Appld' term.
