Description: This is Bit No 9 " Diamond "Silver Inlaid with Silver Conchos pictured on page 64 of the Buermann Illustrated Catalogue No 35. Bit is in excellent condition, looks like it was never in a horse's mouth! There is original bluing showing, no wear around the purchase rings or rein chains. Silver looks crisp and the conchos are in perfect conditionMAKER: Marked Buermann's Patent and HandForged Steel and the Star hallmark (see the mouth piece Pictures). APPROX AGE: Early 1900s. Mouth piece is 5 inches. Overall it is 8 1/2 inches long. 1 3/4" silver conchos. CONDITION: Excellent for its age, minimal wear. Please look closely at the pictures.This bit would make a excellent a addition to any Cowboy collection.
