Description: This is an Early American Pattern Glass (EAPG) clear open sugar in the Birch Leaf pattern maker is unknown. It was produced circa 1880. The piece stands about 4 1/2 inches tall, about 4 inches across the opening, about 3 1/2 inches across the foot. As can be seen by the photos the piece is made with a three piece mold. The glass is clear and crisp with contact scratches on the base from surface contact that latest to its age. I do not see air bubbles in the glass or straw marks that are common from glass produced in this era. I found this piece about 20 years ago in a yard sale and have had it on display ever since. I'm reducing my very sizable collection of glass from all eras. Some has been packed for years. Please review the pictures because they are part of the description. I have loaded them in the detail option so you can blow them up for a detail look at an area. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me. Look at my other items and take advantage of reduced postage with combined shipping. Shop with confidence, my feedback supports my customer satisfaction and quality of my products. Thanks for stopping by and looking at my items! Thank you for looking and check out my other items! I do combine ship as long as I feel the pieces will not be compromised. I package all items in recycled peanuts and bubble wrap. All items are well protected. However I do require insurance and that is included in the postage fee. I buyer will be responsible to file all breakage claims and paperwork. The buyer will be required to provide photos of the breakage and box label on notification of breakage. Save all items (Including packing material, box, and items broken and unbroken) if we are required to present them when filing the claim with the post office. I'll notify you when the claim is complete to dispose of the items. Please do not pay until I have invoiced you. The shipping calculator makes mistakes that will overcharge you sometimes. I will refund any cost over the actual postage, if it is over $1.50. I will never charge you additional postage for an item if the calculator makes a mistake in your favor. International customers: I use the eBay international shipping service. The entire process is controlled by eBay. I cannot adjust the price from what you see on your end. You will be invoiced by eBay, not me. Satisfaction is number 1. If there is a problem please contact me to work it out. As you can tell by my feedback I do not misrepresent items intentionally. However, I am human and do make mistakes. I will make good on my errors. Payment is expected in 7 days after auction ends, unless other arrangements have been made.
