It includes a much longer solenoid to starter lead which allows you to run it left over the front cylinder to clean up the right side of the bike. This new HICAP II kit enables you to upgrade to a LiFePO4 technology battery (saving about 6 pounds of weight) and relocate it to the popular underseat mounting location. You need to reposition the voltage regulator to the *under the seat pan* location as recommended by all Ducati technicians. LiFePO4 technology batteries have only 1 known drawback and that is cold weather performance when the ambient temp drops below 40F for extended periods (like overnight). This kit is suitable for riders in all climates in that you can quickly remove the battery from the bike, store it in a warm location and reinstall it in less that 1 minute. All Sport Classic battery relocation kits include jumpers to the main loom (including stainless hardware and large size shrink tubing to fully insulate the OEM terminals). This allows you to keep the OEM loom in its stock configuration and return the bike to stock condition when desired. Since the Sport Classic bikes are appreciating at a rapid clip, the ability to return to stock is VERY important to maintain the highest resale value of your bike. As with all of our HICAP II kits no wires need to be cut or permanently modified.
