Description: Here is a very rare autographed page from the 1930s signed by actor Douglas Fairbanks Jr. and actor and playwright Noel Coward and one more plus 4 other autos on the reverse, including very rare autograph of actor Jack Buchanan. From the autograph book of a waiter at the famed Carlton Hotel in Canne, France. Douglas Elton Fairbanks Jr. (1909 – 2000) was an American actor, producer, and decorated naval officer of World War II. He is best-known for starring in such films as The Prisoner of Zenda (1937), Gunga Din (1939), and The Corsican Brothers (1941). The son of Douglas Fairbanks and stepson of Mary Pickford, his first marriage was to actress Joan Crawford. Sir Noël Peirce Coward (1899 – 1973) was an English playwright, composer, director, actor, and singer, known for his wit, flamboyance, and what Time magazine called "a sense of personal style, a combination of cheek and chic, pose and poise".[1]Born in Scotland, Jack Buchanan (1891-1957) made his stage acting debut in Britain in 1912, and on Broadway in 1924. Though he made his film debut in 1917 during the silent film era, Buchanan is probably best remembered for The Band Wagon (1953), co-starring with Fred Astaire, Cyd Charisse, Nanette Fabray, James Mitchell, Oscar Levant and Robert Gist. Suffering from spinal arthritis, Buchanan died in London four years later. Very rare. Will ship worldwide. I always combine shipping on multiple orders.
