The parents come across as convincing. The actor who plays the gay son’s partner of three years who is dumped by McNamara so that he can marry a girl to please his family is great although on screen for one short scene.The screenplay is well written and brings the characters to life in the not so perfect family. The story held my attention from the start and never waned.A fine film which addresses the struggle of a gay man in the 90s and parents who want to control the lives of their adult children.Still relevant today.
