Description: ORIGINAL Robert "Bob" Hickey - DOBERMAN PINSCHER - DOB 1948 - Bred of the Marienland Doberman Kennel then owned by Tess Hensler of V. Ahrtal Doberman Kennel. Tess Henseler, was one of the most influential people in the shaping of the Doberman breed in the United States. Tess she was a breeder, trainer, handler and show judge of Doberman Pinscher champion dogs before retiring in 1988. Her Ahrtal kennels produced 71 champions from 1950-80. In 1992, The Doberman Quarterly saluted her accomplishments with a 32-page feature article. Born in Ahrweiler, Germany, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Lucia (Heinnerman) Henseler and passed away in Ottsville, PA September 1994. This is a superb piece of Doberman History in America and would make an Excellent addition to any Doberman collection! This beautiful Doberman chalk is filled with life! To see it in person is to appreciate the fine detail of the chalk. Award Winning Artist Robert "Bob" Hickey Signed and framed, his work has retailed for $1800.00 for a chalk this size. The frame is original and has allot of flaking and loss as you can see in the pictures, personally I like the show of age and fact its original to the piece, the artwork is in excellent condition. I have not opened the back of the covering to inspect what is behind it and have had this piece for at least 20 plus years.
