In 1987, Dick Bruna, the creator of Miffy, visited Nagasaki Holland Village, the predecessor of Huis Ten Bosch. This visit marked the beginning of a connection with Miffy. Subsequently, an original Miffy wearing a red scarf, yellow wooden clogs, and holding the Dutch flag was introduced.
