The 21" polished stainless steel custom mufflerss are made from high grade 304 stainless steel and polished to a mirror finish. With hand TIG welded components, carbon fiber finishing ferrule, and careful attention to detail they are superior in both looks and sound to the factory muffler. The 21" muffler offers a deep tone for cruising with the removable baffle installed, or a more rebellious, loud, sport orientated note when run open. The choice is yours! Closed Circuit Use Only Important California CARB Emissions (Road Legality): Replacement Parts The California Air Resources Board (ARB) regulates aftermarket parts and has created regulations that essentially place all emissions related aftermarket parts into three categories: (1) Replacement Parts“Replacement Part” means any aftermarket part intended to replace an original equipment emissions-related part and which is functionally identical to the original equipment part in all respects which in any way affect emissions (including durability), or a consolidated part. These parts are appropriate for sale and use on motorcycles used on or off the public highways. For aftermarket exhaust and other parts, there are two applicable scenarios: (a) If the motorcycle’s stock exhaust system does not contain a catalytic converter, then an aftermarket exhaust part is a replacement part as long as the part does not remove or replace any emission control equipment originally attached to the stock exhaust system, such as oxygen sensors, and it does not require tuning of the fuel system to be used.
