The translucent colors graduate from light pale pink on the footed base, extending into a pale green body of the vase, and culminating with green petals and light pale pink rose buds and open flowers along the rim. About Daum: Since 1878, Christallerie Daum has been synonymous with creativity in the art of glass-making. Uncontested Masters of Art Nouveau, the artists and craftsmen of Daum have also had a lasting influence on the Art Deco and Contemporary Art movements. Daum creations are exhibited in Museums all over the world, and fetch record prices in International Auctions. The art of Pate de Verre was known to the Egyptians as early as 1500 B.C. It blossomed again in France at the beginning of the 20th Century. This rare material is made from splinters of crystal that are coloured, molten, poured into a lost wax mould and fired at an extremely high temperature for a week. The mould is then broken to reveal a unique piece in Pate de Verre. Thus Daum works with artists and designers to create objects with the magic of this noble material. Dimensions: 7.25" tall x 5.5" wide (widest angle from rose petal to rose petal) x 3" diameter (footed base). 2 lb 10 oz. Condition: Excellent - like new condition. Displayed only on special occasions. Never used. No damage of any kind to the vase. Box and inner-foam liners are in good condition.
