Description: This small 5.5" x 7.5" magazine has 170 pages and is missing the back cover. There are also water stains on the first 50 pages or so, but they are light for the most part. The front cover too is a bit loose. This publication is from July 1949 and the pages are tanned. The cover also has some soiling and has the original address label on it. But this copy is just a reading copy and there are four pages that are complete and quite readable. The article is about a group calling themselves Non-Alcoholics Anonymous. These groups consisted of family members of alcoholics and they had meetings to discuss their problems with the alcoholics in their lives. This is pre Al-Anon, but I suspect the groups were merged into the Al-Anon Family when it began two years later in 1951 by Lois Wilson, the wife of Bill Wilson. A large part of the article is a questions and answer section on what can be done by the spouse of an alcoholic to find a solution to their problems with alcoholics. Nice interesting article about these Non-Alcoholics Anonymous Groups which numbered in the double digits when this article was written in 1949. Again, this is just a reading copy and not a collectible. Please email with any questions.
