The left front grommet was replaced by a sturdy double -sided button closure, although it really wasn't necessary for complete function. There is evidence of some wear, but I think it just adds to the ambiance of this nice bag. The bag is clean, has been oiled for you, and ready to go. In this day and age, it's good to be carrying.
