Description: Original hand colored lithograph from the 19th century work: Sertum Botanicum c 1828 - 32 produced by Pierre Corneille Van Geel in Belgium and based on the drawings of the famed G Severyns. Paper size is 10" x 14" and matted in an acid free matting for protection, with a 3" border, colored moss green. Original rag paper, slightly tanned as is common for it's 200 year old antiquity, very clean without markings and with detailed hand coloring. Erythryna Crista galli is the Coral Tree. This is a magnificent small tree or large shrub in the landscape, is really striking in it's intense scarlet flowering. The hand coloring on this print is rich in color, along with fine botanical details.
