Description: Condition: Fresh and attractive vertical pair of stamps nicely tied with Charleston SC 1861 cancel and addressed to Huntsville Alabama as shown...reduced at left that does not detract from this rare cover...this is the earliest reported use of a multiple on cover and the only reported vertical pair on cover...see front and back scans for details... I have added a nice selection of many stamps to my store. I fondly remember going to stamp shows as a child, enjoying going through counter books where I could pick out the 'ideal' stamp for me.
