Communication with PC - The CRT 7000 can now be connected to a computer using RS 232 port provided on the unit. Software will be provided on a CD or via email. Newly added Time parameter - T (in seconds) - determines the time for which the injector test runs. User can set this parameter as desired. If the time is entered 000 seconds then the CRT 7000 will run in manual mode, i.e. injector will have to be turned on / off manually. 9. 'AUTO' mode - Now the user can set the desired pressure (0 - 2000 BAR) on the CRT unit and it will be maintained by the unit automatically by automatically regulating the percentage opening of the Rail / pump regulating valve / solenoid. 10. Pressure overload limit feature - User can set the pressure overload warning limit pressure (Say 1800 Bar etc.) on the CRT unit. When the system pressure reaches this value a warning buzzer will sound and an overload message will be displayed on the CRT screen, hence the user can take necessary preventive action. Features:- It provides driving signals to the injector solenoid and can be used to test a CR injector for its delivery, back leak, spray pattern, chattering etc. One can easily measure the return to output delivery ratio on a test bench using the CRT 7000. One can vary the pulse width of the injector (W) (in mS – milli seconds), which determines the time for which the injector nozzle opens to spray, hence determining the volume of delivery per spray. More the set pulse width, higher will be the output delivery. Also one can vary the engine RPM (N) which in turn determines the frequency of spray from the injector (Number of times an injector sprays per second). Higher the set engine RPM higher will be the frequency of spray. It provides driving signals to the fuel metering control valve / Solenoid on the CR pump, and can energize it from 0 % to 100 %, i.e. fully closed (zero output delivery) to fully open (maximum output delivery). The fuel metering control valve on the pump regulates the fuel intake volume to the CR pump and hence also determines the output volume.The CRT also provides driving signals to the fuel rail pressure control valve / solenoid which is used to increase / decrease rail pressure by operating a drain / return mechanism to drain out fuel from the fuel rail. As in the case of pump solenoid, this can also be energized between 0 – 100 %.Monitors and displays the rail pressure digitally on the LCD display, and provides automatic cut off of fuel supply once rail pressure exceeds 1800 BAR (Overpressure protection)Hence the CRT 7000 is also used to test the proper operation of the fuel metering solenoid on pump, fuel rail pressure control valve / solenoid on rail and the fuel rail pressure sensor. User can also measure the Pump / Rail DRV solenoid resistance and CR Injector Solenoid resistance using the CRT 7000 unit. This helps in determining the condition of the solenoid. Therefore, the CRT 7000 is nothing but an ECU / ECM simulator - it simulates the working of an ECU / ECM in vehicles to provide precise driving signals to the various components of the common rail system, i.e., the CR pump, Fuel rail and the CR injectors. Also like the ECU it receives feedback from the pressure sensor on the rail and displays the rail pressure digitally. The Common rail System testing Kit comes complete with:-1.
