The watch comes with it’s own certificate of authentication which outlines the history of the Roosevelt Dime coin, that the coin used, is an actual and real Dime coin which has been taken out of circulation, as well as a 12 month international guarantee! Please Note: We sell several different coin watches, and have recently come across several similar coin watches on eBay and Amazon, that claim to be 'Collectors Items', 'Limited Edition', etc....please be careful when purchasing. These watches contain REPLICA coins, that would never have been used as legal tender. The coins are too clean, and lack detail, and some of the watches actually have the words 'replica coin' etched onto the back bezel. The sellers are not being clear that they are replica coins. The coins in our watches are absolute legal tender, 100% genuine coins, with certification. The History of the Roosevelt Dime Coin 1946 ~ Present The Roosevelt Dime was officially released for circulation on the late Presidents birthday, January 30th 1946, replacing the Liberty Head Dime, after the American public clamored for some memorial to their fallen leader. The Dime was a good choice for honoring Roosevelt, because he supported the March of Dimes, a program that raised funds for the research to find a cure for Polio. He contracted the virus when he was 39 years old. Roosevelt dimes have been coined at three mints; Philadelphia, Denver and San Francisco. Obverse (heads) : Roosevelt Dime was released on the late presidents birthday, January 30th. The design features Roosevelt's left facing bust with the inscriptions 'LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST' and the year. Reverse (tails): Displays a torch signifying Liberty, with an olive branch on the left signifying peace, and an oak branch on the right, signifying strength and independence. Inscriptions are; UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM and ONE DIME. MEASUREMENTS The bezel measures 22mm / 0.86 inches in diameter. Its a slim watch, with a case thickness of 6.5mm / 0.25 inch, and will fit wrists from 13cm/5.11 inch, to 16cm/6.29 inch round. It does have a little room on the strap for a few more holes, in case you want to go a little bigger or smaller in size. Weighs 15 grms / 0.53 Oz.
