Description: 7 Hanks of Colinette "Giotto" ribbon yarn, new, colorway Summer Berries, made in Wales, discontinued, company now gone also, 50% cotton, 40% rayon, 10% nylon, 100 g hanks, 3.5oz, each 156 yards, super bulky size, possible gauge 11 sts = 4" on US 11 needle, hand dyed. Lovely variegated ribbon of pinks with touches of violet and other colors. It is just luscious rich hand dyed, a dream to knit with too, soft to the touch but sturdy, knits up to very elegant items. One of the best yarns ever made from one of the finest makers ever, so sad they are gone. Yarn bought by me personally from UK at full price back then, well stored in baggies in air conditioned non-smoking home. Price is for all seven hanks, not for sale individually. This yarn was sold in hanks that were twisted but with this yarn being slightly slicker than a wool, the hanks often un-did their twist, so some might not still be twisted, but no matter as you have to roll this in balls to use it anyway. At least some of the tags are also still present, those often fell off over the years, but the listing is for yarns that arrived to me personally from England and all are the same dye group color.
