Description: This gorgeous 19" doll has blue blown glass eyes, a closed mouth, pierced ears, brown multi-stroke eyebrows and painted upper and lower eyelashes. She is marked with “DEP” and an “8.” These dolls are sometimes attributed to Simon Halbig’s attempt to compete with the French market. She is truly as beautiful as a French doll. She is on her original fully jointed composition body with its original paint. Her body is in very good condition with only a small amount of paint missing on her left wrist, left foot, and the area on the bottom of her torso right above her legs. She is well-strung. She wears her original reddish brown human hair wig. She wears layers of antique clothing including draw-string drawers, a full slip, and a draw-string half-slip, and a navy belted wool Mariner dress with white trim. She wears a vintage straw hat with a ribbon that matches her dress. She also has antique leather boots with rosettes that appear to be French, but the soles are missing. The left boot has a split up back. She wears antique stockings. Her price would be more than double if she were perfect.
