Description: Cleo Teissedre Native American SOUTHWESTERN Pottery TILE Signed Cleo M. (Eyre) Teissedre 1930 - 2020. Lived in California and was best known for her Navajo inspired tiles. This tile pictures the Navajo culture with an adobe building, black pottery pot and red chili peppers. Her signature is embossed on the front. Hand painted in rich brown tone colors with mixed textures and finishes. Back has a cork backing, her label and a hole for hanging - the label is worn, smeared and has paper loss. Measures about 5 7/8" square. Has been pre-enjoyed, but in very nice condition with no chips, cracks or staining.
